Last Week’s Action:
• Samoday reached the Final Four of the national championship pairs tournament. She and Jessica Mendoza swept six matches before falling in the semifinals to Long Beach State.
• Both juniors, Samoday and Mendoza finished the season with a 22-5 record.
• Six AVSR Global recruits earned spots in Sunday’s 16-team final bracket.
• Samoday’s brother, Valeriy Samoday, is among the world’s top young beach players. Now age 22, he won the FIVB Under-21 and Under-19 World Championships.
