Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Nov. 24, 2025: Salme Adeele Hollas

Last Week’s Action:

• Hollas and American dominated the Patriot League Championship, routing Navy and Army 3-0 each to grab the conference crown.
• Hollas was AU’s top scorer and receiver. She shared all-tourney status with American setter Deniz Dakak and middle blocker Prinzez Zeck.
• The Eagles will ride a 17-match win streak into the NCAA tournament’s first round. AU is 24-4 this year, with a Patriot League mark of 15-1.
• Hollas has been among the league’s top hitters, passers and servers all season, her first at American. She transferred from Siena this year.
• In the Patriot tournament Hollas scored 21 kills at .304 efficiency.
• As a freshman last fall at Siena, Hollas was the Metro Atlantic league’s Rookie of the Week four times. She was Siena’s best passer and hitter.
• Hollas’s four older sisters and younger brother have all excelled in volleyball. Heleene Hollas competes on the pro beach world tour.
• In Estonia, Hollas has competed for the national team at the women’s and junior levels. Her sister, Eliise Hollas, is a middle blocker teammate.
