Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Nov. 17, 2025: Karlotta Kattai

Last Week’s Action:

• Kattai closed her season as the NJCAA’s top scorer of the last two years. Colby missed qualifying for this week’s NJCAA Championship finals.
• Kattai led all NJCAA hitters over her freshman and sophomore seasons in kills per set (4.02), points per set (4.67) and total points (991).
• She was also Colby’s top receiver and its leader in ace serves.
• Colby ended at 24-7 this fall, 14-2 in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.
• Both league losses were to NJCAA finals qualifier Barton, including the district championship match. The teams split two earlier five-set duels.
• Kattai led Colby last season to third place in the NJCAA Championship with a 29-5 mark. It was the best year in the Trojans’ team history.
• Kattai was the nation’s top passer-hitter in 2024 among junior college freshmen. She was the Kansas Jayhawk Freshman of the Year.
• In Estonia, Kattai has competed for the national team at the women’s and junior levels. As a beach player she led Estonia’s junior rankings.
• Kattai trained daily as a student-athlete at Audentes Sport School, a boarding school in Tallinn for athletes from throughout Estonia.
