Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.
Sept. 2, 2025: Salme Adeele Hollas

Last Week’s Action:
• Hollas powered American to three victories as the new season opened.
• She floored 52 kills at .323 efficiency to beat Washington-area rivals George Mason, Georgetown and George Washington.
• Hollas is a newcomer at American this year. She transferred from Siena, where she was the Saints’ top hitter and receiver.
• As a freshman at Siena last year Hollas was the Metro Atlantic league’s Rookie of the Week four times.
• Hollas’s four older sisters and younger brother have all excelled in volleyball. Heleene Hollas is a pro beach player on the world tour.
• In Estonia, Hollas has competed for the national team at the women’s and junior levels. Her sister, Eliise Hollas, is a middle blocker teammate.
