Sept. 16, 2024: Radostina Marinova

Latest Action:

• Marinova opens her first season in Italy’s top pro league this week.
• She will compete with Vero Volley Milano in the Courmayeur Cup, featuring the four leading teams of last year’s Serie A1 season.
• Marinova’s Vero Volley teammates include Paola Egonu, MVP of the 2024 Olympics with gold medalist Italy.
• Marinova transferred to Vero Volley after a year with RC Cannes in France’s Ligue A. She played for Paris Saint-Cloud the previous year.
• This is Marinova's seventh season of pro volleyball in Europe.
• In her only year at Long Beach State, Marinova was the team’s top freshman and was named to the Big West All-Freshman Team.
• She doubled at Long Beach as a middle and opposite. She returned to Europe to play professionally and with Bulgaria’s national team.
• As a child, before taking up volleyball, Marinova trained in rhythmic gymnastics. Bulgaria is a longtime world leader in the sport.
