Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Nov. 18, 2024: Viktoria Dimitrova

Binghamton University.

America East Conference.

Freshman. 6'0" Opposite.

Last Week’s Action:

• Dimitrova scored 20 kills at .327 efficiency in two road victories, and Binghamton captured the America East regular season title.
• The Bearcats’ standout freshman floored 14 kills in a 3-2 victory at Lehigh. She posted seven blocks in a 3-0 sweep of NJIT.
• Dimitrova emerged early in the season as Binghamton’s top freshman player and its most productive right-side hitter and blocker.
• The Bearcats, now 19-9, have the team’s best record since 1999.
• In America East matches Binghamton is 8-2. The Bearcats are the host and top seed of this week’s conference championship tourney.
• In Bulgaria Dimitrova was a six-rotation opposite and longtime fixture of the country’s youth and junior national teams.
• As a club player she trained at the junior and women’s levels with CSKA Sofia, a multi-sport club founded in 1948.
