Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.
October 28, 2024: Magi Milicevic

Last Week:
• In a duel of the USA’s top two junior college teams, FSW swept Miami Dade 3-0 as Milicevic hit .455 and led both teams in digs and aces.
• Milicevic has emerged as the top freshman passer-hitter this year for Florida SouthWestern, the two-time defending NJCAA champion.
• FSW is 19-1 this season. The Buccaneers’ only loss was at Miami Dade in September, before Milicevic had broken into the starting lineup.
• Milicevic is attacking at .305 efficiency for the season.
• FSW is favored to win the Florida state tournament this weekend, hosting it in Fort Myers. Miami Dade is the Bucs’ top challenger.
• In Bulgaria, Milicevic played at the junior and women’s levels for the Maritza Plovdiv club. Her teams were dominant in the country.
• She has been a fixture of Bulgaria’s youth and junior national teams since the 16-&-under level.
• Magi’s mother, Radosveta Teneva, played professionally as an outside hitter until age 37. She led teams in Greece for much of her career.
• Magi’s father, Mirko Milićević, a retired 6'11" Serbian basketball star, has been noted as a forerunner of Denver Nuggets leader Nikola Jokić.
