Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Oct. 27, 2025: Salme Adeele Hollas

Last Week’s Action:

• American moved to first place in the Patriot League with its 10th win in a row. Hollas attacked at .450 efficiency as AU routed Bucknell 3-0.
• Hollas is among the league’s top hitters, passers and servers in her first season at American. She transferred from Siena this year.
• Before sweeping Bucknell, AU edged Lehigh 3-2 earlier in the week.
• American now stands at 10-1 in the Patriot League, tied at the top with Colgate. AU’s only loss was to Colgate in the season opener.
• Hollas has been a six-rotation lock. She is AU’s sharpest server, posting 24 aces with only 14 errors. On offense she’s hitting at .254 efficiency.
• She ranks fifth in the Patriot League in kills per set and points per set.
• As a freshman at Siena, Hollas was the Metro Atlantic league’s Rookie of the Week four times. She was Siena’s top hitter and receiver.
• Hollas’s four older sisters and younger brother have all excelled in volleyball. Heleene Hollas competes on the pro beach world tour.
• In Estonia, Hollas has competed for the national team at the women’s and junior levels. Her sister, Eliise Hollas, is a middle blocker teammate.
