Player of the Week

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

October 20, 2025: Marta Tsaneva

Rollins College (Florida).

Senior. 5'11" Opposite.

Last Week:

• Tsaneva led Rollins to two wins and lifted the Tars in the Sunshine State Conference, the nation's top NCAA Division II league.
• Rollins defeated Eckerd 3-2 and Saint Leo 3-0 on the Tars’ home court in Winter Park, near Orlando.
• Tsaneva scored 26 kills at .420 hitting efficiency in the two victories. She also gathered 13 digs and served five aces.
• Sunshine State teams won the Division II national title three of the last six years. Lynn took last year’s crown. Tampa won in 2018 and 2021.
• Tsaneva is excelling as a student, majoring in Economics. She has won Sunshine State academic honors annually since freshman year.
• In Bulgaria, Tsaneva started out as a setter and led her junior teams to two national championships before becoming a full-time attacker.
• As a beach player Tsaneva trained in Bulgaria’s national team program and placed 17th at the 2021 Under-20 European Championship.
