Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

October 6, 2025: Alexandra Koleva

Binghamton University.

Graduate student. 5'9" Setter.

Last Week:

• Koleva set Binghamton to two wins in the America East Conference, beating UMBC 3-1 and NJIT 3-2. She posted 79 assists and 32 digs.
• The Bearcats are aiming to repeat as the America East regular-season champion. They now share a four-way tie for the league lead.
• Koleva is new this year at Binghamton, her fourth college in five years.
• She played two years at junior colleges Tyler (Texas) and Miami Dade, then two years at Florida A&M University in Tallahassee.
• At FAMU Koleva led the Rattlers to the NCAA Championship tourney last fall with a 16-0 record in the Southwestern Conference.
• At age 16 Koleva began competing in Bulgaria’s top women’s league. She played also for Bulgaria’s youth and junior national teams.
• Koleva’s father, Radko Kolev, had a 15-year professional career as a middle blocker and opposite in Europe, Asia and North Africa.
