Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

Sept. 22, 2025: Karlotta Kattai

Last Week:

• Kattai stayed atop the NJCAA in kills per set for the season as she powered Colby to wins over Kansas rivals Dodge City and Butler.
• Kattai leads the nation with 4.51 kills per set and 5.21 points per set. She’s also Colby’s top receiver and the team’s leader in ace serves.
• Colby stands at 13-4 this year, 5-0 in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference.
• Kattai lifted Colby last fall to third place at the NJCAA Championship finals. It was the best season in the Trojans’ team history.
• Throughout last season Kattai was the nation’s top passer-hitter among junior college freshmen. She led all freshmen with 4.7 points per set.
• Colby ended 2024 with a 29-5 mark, going 14-2 in the Kansas Jayhawk Conference. Kattai was the league’s Freshman of the Year.
• In Estonia, Kattai has competed for the national team at the women’s and junior levels. As a beach player she led Estonia’s junior rankings.
• Kattai trained daily as a student-athlete at Audentes Sport School, a boarding school in Tallinn for athletes from throughout Estonia.
