Player of the Week

Each week of the spring and fall seasons, one player who was originally reported as a recruit by AVSR Global is named Player of the Week for an exceptional performance.

November 3, 2025: Andjela Šojić

New Mexico Junior College.

NJCAA Division I.

Sophomore. 6'2" Opposite.

Last Week’s Action:

• Šojić closed out New Mexico’s season as the team’s top hitter for the second year in a row. In two losses she again led NMJC’s attack.
• The Thunderbirds fell to Odessa and New Mexico Military Academy. Both remain on track toward the NJCAA championship tourney.
• Through Šojić’s freshman and sophomore years she led NMJC in kills per set, hitting efficiency and points per set.
• She will transfer to a four-year school after the 2026 spring semester.
• As a freshman last fall Šojić was named Newcomer of the Year in the Western Junior College Athletic Conference.
• Šojić graduated from high school in 2023, then competed for a year in Serbia’s second-level women’s league with the club OK Beograd.
• She played in previous years for the clubs Roda, Red Star and TENT.
